CYBAN, along with 10 other EU organisations from nine different European countries, officially launched the SPRING project in January 2019, to help family businesses reach their full potential.
The aim of this project is to offer customised training, mentoring, support and guidance to family businesses, in the areas of smooth succession planning and implementation, business continuity, leadership and governance and strategy for growth. The main innovative element of this project is the focus on the development of entrepreneurship, intrapreneurship and entrepreneurship across generations, in order to secure the continuation of the family business.
In alignment with the Europe 2020 Strategy, to achieve smart, sustainable and inclusive growth, the partnership intends to make family businesses in Europe more competitive, profitable and sustainable, with higher growth potential. At the same time, that will assist in decreasing unemployment levels at the EU and enhancing EU competitiveness. Since family business are the cornerstone of the EU economy, accounting for more than 60% of EU companies, their long-term survival is of crucial importance for the EU economic growth and EU competitiveness and the decrease of unemployment rate.
