At CYBAN we aim at helping companies raise equity finance, seeking out only the most innovative, fast growing businesses for our selective investors. Selected companies will formally pitch their investment propositions to our investors at one of CYBAN's Company Presentation Events which takes place quarterly in Nicosia. We are interested in any business opportunity, as long as it fits within our stringent investment criteria, which include a significant and growing addressable market, an innovative and scalable business model, a clear competitive advantage and an experienced management team with relevant operational/sector experience. Working with CYBAN will maximize your chances of securing funding. We are able to leverage extensive investing experience as the only established angel network in Cyprus. Our angels bring deep sector knowledge and contacts to young growing companies. They may invest together in syndicates and can provide added value through strategic and operational advice following investment. At CYBAN, we know funding is a lifeline of operations for many companies, which is why we are here to support that. An angel investor who puts his or her own money directly into a startup at the right time, makes a critical difference to the success of the firm. CYBAN investors individually invest between € 10,000 and € 200,000 in any one investment with a total syndicated investment in any one company ranging from € 50,000 to € 500,000.
In addition to cash investments, CYBAN angel investors have broad industry knowledge and contacts, and can open doors which will in turn greatly accelerate your company’s growth. Our investors usually take a seat on the board of your company, providing specific industry knowledge and leads for your business and through their personal networks, potential partnerships.
The involvement of angels plays a pivotal role in entrepreneurial success in more ways than one. Given that angels come from a variety of backgrounds, and many invest in startups because they are passionate about a particular sector, they are able to provide invaluable expertise and feedback about customers and competitors, management plans and sales channels. By serving as mentors and advisors and taking an “active” role in growing a company, angels are life-savers when startups pass through the aptly named “Valley of Death”; the critical point where success or failure hangs in the balance.
For the companies that are selected to pitch in one of CYBAN’s Company Presentation Events, our experienced mentors get to work immediately with the selected teams. Each team is required to attend one 2-hour training session at our offices in order to help them prepare for their funding pitch, as well as support by telephone and email if needed to help them get investment ready.

At CYBAN we are completely transparent about the costs involved with working with us. We do not charge anything to review your Executive Summary and Business Plan, nor for the 2-3 hour meeting with our investment team, following successful screening of your submitted documents.
Should you be selected to pitch to the network this is again completely FREE.
Following the event, you have complimentary access to our meeting rooms with which to hold your syndicate meetings with our investors, while we are here to answer any questions you may have.
Upon successfully raising finance, CYBAN charges a success fee on any monies raised through introductions made by the network. This is paid on completion of the funding process.
